Afghanistan IDP Emergency

Afghanistan is Under a State of Emergency.

Millions of its people are struggling to put food on the table for their families. The country is experiencing a major drought and is witnessing a surge in violence.

More than 300,000 Afghans have been displaced.

MAUSA is stepping up to provide humanitarian assistance to those suffering

Our team is working with partners on the ground to provide emergency food and non-food assistance to IDPs in Kabul and the Kunar Province. We will be providing warm meals along with items like soap and hygiene kits.

Please give all that you can and share with family and friends.

May Allah SWT accept our efforts and purify our intentions.

Afghanistan continues to suffer.

Conflict and political instability have burdened the people of Afghanistan for decades. Natural disasters — especially droughts — have only made matters worse, pulling the country’s economy into deep ruins and its people into extreme poverty.

Millions of Afghan children are being raised in major conflict zones, forcing many families to flee. Over half of the world’s refugees come from three countries, with Afghanistan ranking second, at 2.7 million.

Now, more families and children are displaced and experiencing food insecurity than ever before.

Our team at MAUSA is committed to working in Afghanistan as long as it is safe for our staff and partners. We are actively seeking creative ways to continue supporting our beneficiaries. On that note, Alhamdulillah, our orphans have received sponsorship for the next six months.

We are currently working with local partners to distribute blankets and non-food items to the IDPs in Kabul’s local mosques, as well as those in Sheberghan.

MAUSA has been working in Afghanistan since 2018, when it was founded. We are sincerely committed to serve the people of Afghanistan, and Inshallah, will continue working with partners on the ground to achieve this.

Our past projects in Afghanistan include:

  • Distribution of Nutritional Meal Packs
  • Funding the first-ever women’s hospital in Kabul
  • Orphan Sponsorship (which will continue)
  • Seasonal projects: Feed the Fasting, Winter Emergency, and Qurbani

The people of Afghanistan deserve a future free of violence. They deserve a peaceful, protected home. Let’s do what we can to help them witness that.
