Kunar Province, Afghanistan

One of the hardest-hit areas is Nurgal district in Kunar province, where hundreds of lives have been lost and many victims remain buried beneath collapsed homes. Roads leading to remote villages have been destroyed, cutting off families from urgent rescue and relief.
