According to studies conducted by UNICEF, almost 10,000 children become orphans every single day.  There are at least 140 million orphans in the world suffering both physically and mentally, trying to get by without the support of a loving family. 

Unfortunately, a day in the life of an orphan brings a high risk of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.  After losing either their father, mother, or both, and becoming orphans in the blink of an eye, these innocent children are sometimes forced to live a life alone.
