More than 21,000 people have been killed, over 60,000 injured, thousands still missing in the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Gaziantep and Sanliurfa Turkey and Northern Syria in the early morning hours on February 6th, 2023. The death toll is expected to continue to rise as search and rescue teams rescue people who are still trapped under rubble in mounds of wreckage.
