Winter Emergency – Palestine
The Al-Shoka area and Hai Alhashasheen area in the Rafah Governorate of Palestine have high scores in vulnerability, including economic, environmental, protection, education, and health sectors.
The Winter Emergency project was developed following the emergency needs that emerged due to the Gaza’s annual harsh winter season conditions. The storm water floods many areas in Gaza and many houses sink to different levels.
In 2020, Muslim Aid USA responded to the urgent needs of the most vulnerable communities and families, targeting 230 families affected by a lack of preparation for the harsh winter weather.
