Afghanistan Earthquake Emergency

KABUL, Afghanistan

More than 1,000 people were killed and 1,600 others injured after a 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck a remote and mountainous region of southeastern Afghanistan on Wednesday June 22nd 2022.

The death toll is expected to rise given those affected are far from hospitals and have little to no transportation. This catastrophic event has made their dire situation even worse.
