India is home to the second most populous country in the world but yet it holds one quarter of all undernourished people in the world. Over 20% of the population lives on less than $1.90 a day. Over 50% of women in India suffer from anemia and 17% of children are severely malnourished. Food Insecurity is one of their greatest problems that needs to be solved. 

MAUSA is on the ground working with local partners delivering emergency food packages. MAUSA has also assisted with medical equipment and health care drugs along with covid relief efforts.

Feed The Fasting

According to the UN the number of people affected by hunger globally rose to as many as 828 million in 2021, an increase of about 46 million since 2020 and 150 million since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Health Care

The estimated infant mortality rate per the validation study by WHO in 2016 is 21.3 per 1,000 live births and neonatal mortality is 14 per 1000 live births in with over 74% of these deaths occurring in the neonatal period.

Orphan Support

There are at least 140 million orphans in the world suffering both physically and mentally, trying to get by without the support of a loving family.

Emergency Aid

The latest events including clashes near IDP camps and civilian compounds leaving civilians killed, injured, and trapped in active conflict zones.

Qurbani

MAUSA and a partner organization have carried out the Qurbani 2018 program and distributed meat as charity food to  impoverished and needy Muslim families
