Give Them Warmth With Your Generosity

There are over 70 million men, women, and children who are currently living in poverty. Every single year, winter brings a deathly threat to their lives, but basic necessities like nourishing food and heat could give them life-changing support.

Over the past few years, we have consistently witnessed the most vulnerable suffer, including the Rohingya and Syrian refugees, as well as children and families in Gaza, Yemen, Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan — just to name a few. Some of these individuals are on the brink of survival.

Verse from Qur’an: “Because of that We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind.” Quran, 5:32

Without adequate shelter, clothing, blankets, heat, and basic food items — these individuals in need may freeze to death.

Last year, over 45,000 people benefitted from MAUSA’s response and the support of generous donors like you. Let’s help even more this time around; let’s give them warmth with our generosity.

Those who have fled war and persecution fall into a greater risk of danger and illness as temperatures drop.

Every winter, the MAUSA team works hard to make a difference in the lives of those in greatest need. This year, we will be providing winter packages (blankets, winter jackets, sweaters, socks, gloves, hats, shawls), warm nutritious meals, and firewood for heat. We will also be working with partners on the ground to improve shelters for women and children.

A 20-year study found that more than 5 million people die each year globally because of excessively hot or cold conditions.

These items will not only help provide warmth and comfort — they could save lives.
