Muslim Aid USA Appoints Azhar Azeez as new Executive Director

Washington DC, (Feb 7, 2022) Muslim Aid USA (MAUSA) announces the hire of Azhar Azeez as the new Executive Director, effective immediately, to lead and grow the organization.  “MAUSA had a comprehensive search for an Executive Director and is excited to welcome Mr. Azeez to lead the organization into the future.” said Monem Salam, President of the Board of Muslim Aid USA.  “Azhar joins us at a time of tremendous growth for the organization, and his talents in not only fundraising, but also institutional building will propel the organization to further heights”

Mr. Azeez’s background has been dedicated to Muslim non-profit work.  He has been a member of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA)’s Executive Council since 2002; first as the Central Zone Representative, and then as the Vice President from 2010-2014. He was elected as the President of ISNA in 2014 for two terms ending in 2018. Professionally, Mr. Azeez recently served as the Senior National Director of Islamic Relief USA.  He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the prestigious Osmania University (India).

Muslim Aid USA is a faith-based American international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict.
